ALEX MASSIS, CEO/PRESIDENT, The movies he has handled boast a veritable galaxy of international stars such as Michael Douglas, Sigourney Weaver, Richard Burton, Anthony Hopkins, Oliver Reed, Akim Tamiroff, Yves Montand, Simone Signoret, Richard Widmark and F. Murray Abraham – to name but a few. In 1979 he shifted his focus to become an international film-marketer and Licensor. In the ensuing years his companies have represented the films of Otto Preminger, Merchant-Ivory, Joseph E. Levine, Andy Warhol, Moshe Mizrahi, Paul Morrissey, Luis Carlos Barreto, Nelly Kaplan, Mario Bava, Alfredo Leone and Michal Bat-Adam, among others.

Undaunted by the challenge of representing work by unknown filmmakers, Massis is one of the world’s leading experts in festival strategy and in securing international buyers for quality, but difficult-to-sell, independent films. His past discoveries include the legendary “Liquid Sky,” “Daughters of Darkness” and a host of other cult and art house notables. Since 1979, Massis has successfully sold his films to nearly 100 countries...and counting.

EDWARD JORDON, DIRECTOR OF ACQUISITIONS, is an award-winning screenwriter, director and producer. In 1996, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences invited him to screen his feature documentary, “It’ll Have Blinking Eyes & A Moving Mouth,” in its prestigious Contemporary Documentary Series alongside Oscar winners and nominees. As a screenwriter, Jordon has developed film projects at Sally Field’s Fogwood Films and Renee Missel Productions, including the American remake of the 2003 Oscar-nominated Dutch film, “Zus & Zo.” He joined The Film Source in the summer of 2005 with his mission: To add new independently-produced motion pictures from North America to the company's long list of quality films.
